Northcoast Bakehouse is a Maine-made bakery focused on thoughtfully crafted desserts, quality ingredients, and timeless technique.


Every cake, cookie, and pastry is made from scratch in small batches, using carefully sourced ingredients and finished by hand with attention to detail and design.

Inspired by the Maine coast and a love of classic baking, Northcoast Bakehouse blends comfort and elegance - from celebration cakes to artisan cookies and brownies, each piece is created to be as beautiful as it is delicious.

At the heart of Northcoast Bakehouse is a simple philosophy: bake slowly, choose ingredients with intention, and create desserts that feel special. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply treating yourself, our goal is to make every bite memorable.

Hi, I’m Katrina — the baker behind Northcoast Bakehouse.

I’ve been baking for over a decade, first for family and friends and eventually for anyone who would let me bring dessert. What started as a creative outlet slowly became a true passion, and after years of refining recipes, techniques, and design, I decided to turn that passion into something professional.

​

When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m also a marine scientist. My love for the ocean has shaped much of who I am - and even inspired this bakery. A cuttlefish documentary sparked my path into marine science, and the cuttlefish remains my favorite sea creature to this day. It felt only right to make it the inspiration behind Northcoast Bakehouse’s logo, as a small nod to the science, curiosity, and creativity that drive both sides of my life.

I live and work in Maine with my husband and daughter, and Northcoast Bakehouse is rooted in the same sense of place - inspired by the coast, the seasons, and a love for thoughtful, from-scratch baking using quality ingredients and careful craftsmanship. I’m so grateful to share my work with you.
